The system, called Trium Natura, uses a complex mathematical algorithm and a projector to create a highly precise 3D model with an accuracy of up to 40 micrometres. This is particularly important as it allows samples to be scanned directly in the tube, something that was not previously possible.
The developers plan to expand the functionality of the system, including modeling plant growth under various conditions and multispectral analysis to assess chlorophyll levels. The main goal is to improve the selection process and genetic research, which will accelerate the production of high-quality plant material.
