Both flagships are powered by top-of-the-line processors: the Apple A18 Pro in the case of the iPhone and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the case of the Samsung smartphone.
While the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 120 fps game mode, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra does not have such a mode.
On average, the iPhone 16 Pro Max produces 81 fps, with a minimum of 57 fps. At the same time, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra shows an average of only 44 fps, with a minimum of 31 fps.
At the same time, the screen resolution in the iPhone is higher – 1960 × 902 pixels, while in Samsung it is 1872 × 864 pixels.
Both devices get very hot while gaming, but the iPhone 16 Pro Max is more stable than its rival and maintains higher frame rates despite the higher temperatures.
