Holders of the document include such large companies as Baltika, Sibur and Geropharm. The certificate allows manufacturers to apply a special brand to their products and receive support in entering international markets.
The program is voluntary and available for all Russian products. Products must meet one of the certification areas: reliability, uniqueness, environmental friendliness or organic origin.
Director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Artur Gafarov stressed that “Made in Russia” involves the participation of both large companies and small and medium-sized businesses. Participants can count on information and marketing support from the REC.
- The Made in Russia programme was launched in 2015 on the initiative of Dmitry Medvedev. The key idea of the project is to help Russian manufacturers enter foreign markets and increase international competitiveness.
- The program was relaunched in 2022 as part of import substitution efforts. For certification, the product must have been produced in Russia and from domestic raw materials.
