Unlike virtual reality headsets, Orion is lightweight, works both indoors and outdoors, and users’ faces remain visible, eliminating the feeling of “isolation” associated with virtual reality devices.

A distinctive feature of Orion is the ability to embed holographic content into the real environment. Meta* touts integrations like contextual AI, which allows users to interact with the environment, such as scanning the refrigerator to create recipes.

Orion works with a separate wireless disk and bracelet that allows you to expand and simplify data processing beyond the glasses. Meta AR glasses, which are still in the prototype stage, are being tested within the company and there are no plans to go outside yet.

*Belongs to Meta, who is recognized as an extremist and banned in the Russian Federation
