According to Sobyanin, it was decided to expand the four diameters built in Moscow to the nearest regions to create a unique transport hub in the capital, which will continue to develop in the future.
Vladimir Putin had previously ordered the MCD to be extended to Kaluga, Tula and other large cities surrounding Moscow. In spring, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin stated that, together with Russian Railways and Moscow authorities, work is underway to expand diameters in 11 regions of the Central Transport Axis.
In the future, the Moscow authorities plan to build another diameter – the MCD-5 Pushkino – Domodedovo. To do this, you will need an underground tunnel between the Yaroslavsky and Paveletsky stations, 10-13 km long.
At the end of May, the MCD travel payment system with a facial recognition function began to operate at Nakhabino, Ploshchad treh vokzalnykh, Likhobory and Zelenograd-Kryukovo stations. This method is considered the most profitable: the trip will cost 53 rubles.
