The investment follows a $5.4 billion deal in July in which a Russian consortium bought Yandex’s domestic assets and effectively cut its overseas ties amid geopolitical tensions.

The company has multiple subsidiaries, including data partner Toloka AI and autonomous driving division Avride.

As part of the strategic expansion, Nebius plans to increase GPU capacity, including the creation of a new GPU cluster with Nvidia graphics cards in Paris, new data centers and expansion of the existing facility in Finland.
