In 2024, Russia will launch a domestic service with an interactive map of areas for drone flights, Rosaviatsia told Vedomosti. It should be noted that the service will allow you to receive information about the movement of drones.
“Preliminarily, the development of the service will be carried out by JSC Concern VKO Almaz-Antey and the State Corporation of Federal State Unitary Enterprises for ATM (SC ATM), the development costs are being specified,” a representative of the Federal Agency said. of Air Transport.
He also pointed out that a system for the provision of flight plans through the Internet and the public telephone network (SPII) is already operating based on the ATM Civil Code. It will serve as the basis for the development of a new solution.
On April 27, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov also spoke about these plans. Belousov announced the launch of such a service next year.
According to him, private companies will participate in the development and the Federal Air Transport Agency will become the owner of the service.
Anton Nikiforov, head of the Russian Post BAS department, believes that the new system will work by analogy with the foreign service Flightradar24. It allows you to follow the movements of aircraft in real time.
Earlier, the BAS Consortium, a joint venture between Russian Post and SK Capital, conducted the first test flights of mail drones for cargo delivery.
