Telegram has added the possibility of complaining to support terrorism. The option appeared in the beta version of Messenger, reports the Relevant Telegram Updates channel.

In fact, this option is present in the beta version of the Telegram application for Android, launched on September 29, 2024, as the RB.RU correspondent was convinced. It is available by clicking on messages in public Telegram channels.
The list of complaints was expanded to include other categories, including “I don’t like this,” “Copyright,” and “It’s not illegal, but it should be removed.”
Last week, Telegram founder Pavel Durov said the company had updated its terms of service and security policy, in part to deter criminals who use the messenger to sell illegal products.
Violators’ IP addresses and phone numbers may now be disclosed to law enforcement in response to reasonable lawful requests. Durov added that searching on Messenger has become safer and asked users who encounter illegal content to contact support.
On August 24, Durov was detained at Paris Le Bourget airport. Two days later, he was charged with refusing to cooperate with authorities in the area of cyber and financial crimes on Messenger. The billionaire was subsequently released, but placed under judicial supervision, prohibited from leaving France, ordered to pay bail of 5 million euros and to report to the police station twice a week.
