According to research by the Avtostat.Info portal and the Electronic Passport Group of Companies, there are already more than 35 thousand electric cars of different brands and models in our country. From Zeekr and Voyah it’s quite a Tesla in different versions. Our editorial team, for example, was recently given a ride in that same Cybertruck. You can read about this in a separate article.
Looking at all this, a legal question arises: what can answer our producers and is there anything to do with winter? I have studied the current trends of automakers, and today we are constantly observing the market for domestic electric vehicles.
Let’s look at what you can buy right now

First, let’s look at the brands that can be tested and purchased at dealerships today.
At the moment there are only two of them – Moskvich and Evolute. Let’s take a closer look at the latter.
What does Evolute offer?
The creation of the Evolute brand was announced on March 22, 2022. The initiators were the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the government of the Lipetsk region and the Motorinvest company, which owns a plant located 50 kilometers from Lipetsk. This company is considered a pioneer in the production of Russian electric vehicles, although not outside of some countries.
Despite the fact that Evolute is positioned as a Russian brand, these cars feature Chinese Dongfeng, which complement Russia in a disassembled business form and travel in Lipetsk.
However, by and large, it’s not like anyone really cares. At the moment there are 5 models on the market to suit any budget.
And although many note that, for example, i-JOY does not look like an electric car at all, but is more reminiscent of a mixture of Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and Nissan Murano, their Evolute function works properly. The company presents affordable electric vehicles with good, high-quality and a large selection of trim levels.
But what if you don’t want to look towards an incomprehensible English name and your soul yearns for something native?
What Moskvich offers
Then right now you can buy yourself a new Moskvich. The brand returned to the market 20 years after production closed. Currently, 3 cars are produced under the brand. And just one is electric.
To be honest, there isn’t much choice. One model, one configuration
An electric crossover with a range of 410 km and an engine power of 193 hp. – this is quite a worthy result. However, there is one point that is worth paying attention to: in this car, only the name is “ours”.
This is directly stated on the website of the Avtomir dealership center. In fact, Moskvich 3e is a Chinese JAC JS4 (Sehol X4), which is assembled on the territory of the former Renault Russia plant.
Gazelle e-NN is literally an electric minibus, yes
And by and large, this is all that can be bought right here and now.
But!
If you live in Kaliningrad and want to buy a commercial electric car, then you can contact the GAZ dealership and buy the Gazelle e-NN electric car. In fact, this is the first commercial electric vehicle.
This model has two global modifications depending on its purpose.
Since this commercial vehicle is still unique in its characteristics, such a price can only be found if there is a direct source in the DC, and it will depend on who is buying, an individual or a legal entity. The average price starts from 3,460,000 rubles, according to an open source. However, I personally contacted the DC and this is what came out of it:

Prices vary significantly and are added to everything in stock with fears; in 90 percent they are not available, just wait from the factory.
Bright future for Russian electric vehicles

On September 25, 2024, a ceremony was held in Izhevsk to mark the launch of production of Lada e-Largus. Whether this will be a production car or a situation with the Gazelle e-NN will arise is still unclear. The starting price is stated at 2,990,000 taking into account government subsidies. LADA e-Largus is the first Russian electric car with a domestic battery of deep localization. It is unknown when it will go on sale.
In fact, LADA Largus is a free copy of the first generation Romanian Dacial Logan MPV.
In addition to the purely commercial Largus, for the implementation of the Atom project from Kama JSC. It will be a five-door hatchback with a power reserve of about 500 km. The manufacturer positions it as an electric gadget with wide possibilities for personalization and interaction with the city.
The salon looks minimalist and resembles something.
Pre-orders for the car of the future are already open. The cost of the level is 7,000 rubles and this part will be included in the price of the electric car. The exact price has not yet been disclosed. Reserving a car gives you the opportunity to be one of the first to purchase it.
Unlike everything I wrote about above, for Atoma all components are developed from scratch: from the engine to the batteries and software. The car’s design was created by the Italian bureau Torino Design, which has experience working with such famous brands as McLaren, BMW, FCA, Maserati and Ferrari.

And on such an optimistic note, I propose to end. Today we are guilty that even now you can buy, if you want, an electric car from a Russian brand, and even look a little into the future of the market. This is an unusually bright, but truly realistic time.
I voice this thought to you. Have a good day!
