This was learned from a message on Android Authority published on October 8. The company is testing a new version of the browser codenamed “Desktop Android” that will allow extensions to be used in the mobile version of Chrome.

For now, Android users can enjoy the speed and convenience of Chrome, but the lack of extension support remained one of its biggest drawbacks.

Now, according to the latest tests, Google has decided to take into account the wishes of users and is working to expand the functionality of the browser.

The version of Chrome being tested is primarily aimed at Chromebooks, but it also aims to create a single version of Chrome for Android and ChromeOS.
