iOS 18.2 adds two new Apple Intelligence features: Siri ChatGPT and Visual Intelligence.
Developer Aaron Perris found similar reviews on Apple’s backend. The first is an improved voice assistant that works directly with OpenAI solutions, the second is an iPhone 16 feature that allows you to search for contextual information related to objects the camera is pointed at. For example, if there is a cafe in the frame, the system will find its work schedule and menu, and immediately display them on the screen.
Why do they appear in iOS 18.2? Firstly, links to system codes have been found now, and secondly, Apple promised to add these functions by the end of 2024. iOS 18.3 will not be released until 2025.
Apple is expected to release iOS 18.1 to everyone on October 28th. A few days later, the first beta version of iOS 18.2 is released. There is very little time left to wait. [9to5]
