The trend is due to the growing popularity of the shot glass format, which became especially visible in 2024 against the backdrop of rising prices for imported alcohol, noted the experts interviewed by the publication.

According to the founder of the Ryumkabar chain, Elena Kirillova, the cost of a glass of liqueur in Moscow glass shops is 250-300 rubles (the profit margin can reach 700%), while a cocktail costs three times more. District27 artistic director David Avtandilov noted that visitors often choose Russian liqueurs because of their affordable price.

According to “Tsenosaur”, to which the publication refers, vodka imported into Russia in the period from January to August 2024 increased its year-on-year price by 32%, rum by 14.8% and whiskey by 10.5%.
