Firefly Video’s generative model can convert photos and text into videos, create animations, and simulate video recordings. The user can adjust various rendering parameters such as viewing angle and aspect ratio. The maximum length of the created video is four seconds and you can also extend an existing video by two seconds.
Adobe trained the model using stock videos and photographs intended for marketers and creative agencies. Public domain and licensed content was also used.

The fact that Adobe plans to add tools based on artificial intelligence to Premiere became known in April 2023. At the same time, the company presented the Firefly family of generative models: one of the tools generates images based on text descriptions, and the other creates texts in different styles.
In April 2024, Adobe released an experimental feature called VideoGigaGAN that can improve video quality by up to eight times.
