The founder of the HotConsulting consulting agency, Roman Sabirzhanov, put the amount between 720 and 960 million rubles, while Sutochno.ru estimated between 4.5 and 6 billion rubles. A Forbes source on the TravelTech market estimates the deal at between 1.5 and 2 billion rubles.
According to Sabirzhanov, for VIM Investments the deal was an opportunity to invest in a company that is in the stage of preparing for an initial public offering (IPO), which could generate profits for the fund in the future. According to their estimates, Sutochno.ru’s share of the accommodation booking services market is 11%; the company is in third place after Ostrovka (29%) and Yandex Travel (23%).
The founder of the Travel Startups community, Leonid Pustov, suggested that Sutochno.ru is preparing to conduct an initial public offering on the stock exchange. According to him, this is necessary so that the company can compete with other services, as it allows it to raise funds without the need for loans.
According to the results of 2023, Sutochno LLC received income in the amount of 3.3 billion rubles with a net profit of 464.4 million rubles, as follows from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
In July 2022, Forbes, citing sources, reported that VK was considering purchasing Sutochno.ru. A source close to the service indicated that several companies are interested in acquiring it.
