Telegram’s failure in southern Russia has nothing to do with Megafon’s work. This was reported by RB.RU in the press service of the mobile operator. Since October 10, the Downdetector.su service has been publishing messages about messaging problems on phones with a SIM card from this operator.

“Our network is working normally,” Megafon’s press service reported.

The company clarified that the reasons for the failure could have been “external.”

“Perhaps difficulties arose on the part of the service itself or for external reasons,” Megafon said.

Since October 10, the Downdetector.su service has registered tens of thousands of complaints about the operation of Telegram. In the last 24 hours, the site recorded around 10 thousand messages about problems with Messenger. Some users clarify that Telegram does not work specifically on the network of the mobile operator Megafon, those who use Yota also write about problems.

According to the fault detection service, as of 16:30 on October 14, 17% of complaints came from the Stavropol Territory, 10% from Ingushetia, 8% from the Krasnodar Territory, 6% from Chechnya and 6% from Dagestan.

On the Downdetector.su website there were calls to “complain en masse in support of Megafon.”

“Fourth day without Telegram. “Megaphone”. Sanity is decreasing”, “Megafon connection does not load”, “Telegram does not work on the Megafon operator, the connection constantly hangs,” users write.

According to the Sboy.rf service, the majority of complaints about Telegram on October 14 come from Moscow, with the Krasnodar Territory in second place, followed by the Stavropol region in the number of negative messages.
