Apple will invest heavily in creating an ecosystem of smart devices, analyst says BloombergMark Gurman. In the latest issue of our newsletter Power OnThe reporter highlighted predictions regarding the company’s strategy. Apple Intelligence is one of the highlights.
According to Gurman, Apple’s strategy will be divided into three pillars: Siri with Apple Intelligence; the homeOS, the new platform based on tvOS And Broad support for other devicesprobably guaranteed by the Matter standard.
The idea would be to place Apple Intelligence at the center of the entire ecosystem, allowing the platform to manage the user’s life with artificial intelligence. The Assistant offered efficient task automation as well as deep control over apps, devices, and media.
In a way, Apple’s approach is very similar to that of Google and Amazonbut is probably more refined and based on Apple devices.
One application could be Apple’s new smart display: The device not only displays content from streaming apps, makes video calls, and accesses apps, but also serves as a means of accessing other devices in the home.
Apple Intelligence still needs to prove itself
While Apple’s new strategy is very interesting in terms of expanding the company’s device offerings, the fruits of this model are it should take some time to arrive. The launch of iOS 18 was heavily aided by AI support, but to date, core features of Apple Intelligence are not available.
Revised version of Siri with productive artificial intelligence it will take even longer to reach the ultimate audience.
Moreover, given that Apple has been rather cautious about rolling out such impactful new features, it’s possible that these integrations will take even longer to happen and perhaps only appear in later versions of the company’s operating systems.
