In a post about unknownFormerly known as Twitter, studio Surgent reported that it has not yet been able to find a partner to develop the next game, which will not be a direct continuation of ZAU, but will be visually close to the first release.

As the company explained, it is impossible to complete the project without adequate salaries for employees. A prototype already exists, but an editor is needed to finalize the design and engine, so the game’s release has not yet been confirmed. At the beginning of this year, Surgent Studios already had to lay off just over a dozen developers, also for financial reasons.

The studio, founded by actor Abubakar Salim, who played in Assassin’s Creed and House of Dragons, sees its main goal as creating action games that promote ethnic cultural values. And judging by the high ratings of critics of the gaming market, ZAU coped with this task.
