DJI argues that it does not use forced labor, which the law claims to protect. The company said the import delay was a “misunderstanding” and that it was working with CBP to demonstrate compliance with U.S. laws and international standards.
This issue primarily affects DJI’s industrial and agricultural drones, but also affects consumer models such as the Air 3S. DJI hopes to find a quick resolution to the situation with CBP.
Previously, the US Department of Commerce restricted US companies from exporting technology to DJI and banned some government agencies from purchasing its drones.
