Apple has released firmware 7B19 for AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C and Lightning.
This version includes new features for hearing testing, hearing protection, and the ability to use headphones as a hearing device. They all work on iPhone or iPad running iOS 18.1 or iPadOS 18.1.
The hearing protection feature is only available in the US and remotely.
iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 will be released on October 28, next Monday.
How to update AirPods faster
1. Connect headphones to iPhone
2. Put them in the case and connect them to the charger.
3. Wait 5 minutes
You can view the firmware version via Settings → General → About this device → AirPods.
