AI TOP UD SSD is a PCIe 4.0 drive with sequential read speeds of up to 6,500 MB/s and write speeds of up to 5,700 MB/s. Although its speeds are lower compared to the AI TOP 100E series, the throughput remains high, making it an excellent choice for AI tasks and media authoring. The M.2 2280 form factor provides compatibility with most desktop and laptop computers.
Despite slower speeds compared to rivals like the Samsung 990 Pro, which makes the most of the PCIe 4.0 interface, Gigabyte’s drives focus on endurance. The price has not been announced yet, but the new product is expected to be cheaper than the AI TOP 100E 1TB, which costs more than $2,600.
