These suspicions arose after a TSMC chip was discovered in one of Huawei’s processors, Reuters writes citing sources. Previously, Sophgo ordered chips from a Taiwanese company that matched the chip installed in Huawei’s Ascend 910B.

Sophgo denies the allegations and says it strictly complies with “all laws and has never had business relations with Huawei.” The company will soon provide TSMC with a detailed report on the ongoing investigation, which will provide evidence of the company’s innocence.
