The new computer is up to 1.7 times faster at everyday tasks and up to 2.1 times faster at demanding processes (like photo editing and gaming) compared to the iMac M1, Apple says. Screen diagonal: 24 inches. For models with a 10-core chip and a 10-core GPU, there is a “nano-textured glass option” that reduces reflections and glare, the company said.
The new iMac has a 12-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens and has a function that allows it to simultaneously display the user’s face and the space in front of him.
The computer has four USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support. Users can connect external drives, docking stations, and up to two external displays with up to 6K resolution to the iMac. The device supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and Touch ID.
The all-in-one PC runs on the new macOS Sequoia 15.1 operating system, which includes built-in Apple Intelligence features such as the redesigned Siri voice assistant and writing tools for working with English text. Users will also get free access to ChatGPT without having to register an account, Apple promised.
The device is available in seven bright colors: green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue and silver. The package includes a Magic Keyboard and a Magic Mouse in the color of the device, which now have USB-C ports.
An iMac with an eight-core chip, an eight-core graphics processor and 16 GB of RAM costs from 1.3 thousand dollars (about 126 thousand rubles at the exchange rate of the Central Bank as of October 29), a computer with a chip 10-core and a 10-core graphics processor costs from 1 dollar 5 thousand. Sales in official stores will open on November 8, pre-orders can be placed on Apple’s website.

- Apple is also working on other devices. For example, Bloomberg wrote about the company’s plans to launch an updated iPhone SE without the Home button and a cheap augmented reality headset called Vision.
- In early October, Russian blogger Valentin Petukhov (Wylsacom) showed off what he claimed was an unreleased MacBook Pro with an M4 processor. Tipster Mark Gurman said that Apple will launch this laptop on November 1.
