Anthropic and Perplexity have released applications for their AI on Windows. Tools to compete for space are coming with the ChatGPT app offers faster and more convenient interactions.
THE Claude from Anthropic works very similar to the web version and ChatGPT for Windows: The chatbot can be accessed manually or via a keyboard shortcut. From here, the user can interact with the assistant in any way he or she wants, with questions, requests for text revisions, summarizing articles, and much more.
THE Perplexity’s app also targets searches. However, you can search the internet using the convenience of Large Language Model (LLM). Similar to Gemini or SearchGPT, it generates answers by directly referencing links in the text, using resources retrieved from the internet.
Both apps are free, but Perplexity and Claude offer exclusive functionality to subscribers. Moreover, since the Anthropic application is in Beta stage, it may contain more bugs than expected.
Until then, both chatbots could be accessed via browser on Windows. Although highly accessible, web applications are limited to the browser architecture and cannot interact directly with the operating system as native applications can.
Perplexity and Anthropic can further explore the potential of AIs as virtual assistants with their own programs and Intensify the dispute even with Copilot from Microsoft.
You can download the Claude AI app from the official Anthropic website and Perplexity from the official chatbot website.
