The development of an antitumor vaccine against cancer has begun at Lobachevsky State University in Nizhny Novgorod. Governor Gleb Nikitin said at the “Knowledge First” training marathon at the Mayak Academy that this project is being carried out jointly with the Science and Education Center and the Madin group of companies. Scientists hope to create a tool that will bring a new approach to oncology treatment.
According to Nikitin, 20 million rubles were allocated for research. The governor emphasized that the vaccine would be a fundamentally new step in cancer treatment and expressed confidence that the disease could be treated more effectively in the near future. Nikitin noted that the research team made every effort to create a tool that could change the approach to combating oncology.
The project aims to develop a method that will allow patients to beat cancer at an early stage. Nizhny Novgorod University believes that thanks to new technology it will be possible to radically improve the situation in the field of oncology.
