Electric vehicles not only reduce environmental damage caused by exhaust gases, but also have a positive effect on business processes: these vehicles require lower maintenance costs, provide the opportunity to use free parking and are exempt from transport tax in several regions, Pony said express.

The company added that it plans to begin using electric vehicles in other major Russian cities in the near future, but plans are complicated by “limited charging infrastructure and technical limitations on long-distance routes where larger batteries are required.”

The EVM Pro are Russian electric trucks whose production began in April 2023 at the Technopolis company in Moscow. The vehicles are assembled on the UAZ chassis; most components are domestic, including on-board electronics and electric motors. Investments in the project amounted to 393 million rubles.
