The Matter protocol for smart devices has received a major update to version 1.4. It now supports new types of smart devices:

▶︎ Solar panels
▶︎ Batteries
Matter 1.4 also introduced the Multi-Admin feature, which allows users to connect Matter devices to their usual smart home systems. And with the Enhanced Multi-Admin feature, new devices can automatically connect to multiple ecosystems at once.
Matter is a universal protocol that supports Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Yandex. But to support new devices from smartphone and smart speaker manufacturers, a firmware update is required.
