The deputy chairman of the LDPR party in the State Duma, Stanislav Naumov, proposed replacing the six-day working week before the New Year in 2024 with a five-day one, so that “the last week would not be overloaded.” The deputy sent a corresponding appeal to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko, according to the faction’s Telegram channel.

“In my opinion, the last working week of the year should not be overloaded. “I propose on the 28th, Saturday, at the regional level, depending on the characteristics of the economy, making a decision on a day off,” said the deputy.
In his opinion, nothing will prevent managers from “organizing work during the last week in such a way that in five days you can do what you plan to do in six days.”
Naumov pointed out that there are sectors in which more days of work are needed and cited the food industry as an example. At the same time, it is necessary to economically encourage this type of activity, believes the vice-president of the LDPR in the State Duma.
In the last week of December, Russians will work from the 23rd to the 28th inclusive, that is, six days, as follows from the production calendar for 2024. Citizens will rest from December 29 to January 8, 2025 inclusive.
