Three Apple customers sued the company and accused it of violating consumer protection laws.

The essence of the complaint is that the AirPods Pro were cracking on their own. This most often happened when the headphones moved or vibrated.

In 2020, the Cupertino team already tried to fix the problem with software updates, but this did not help. In October of the same year, Apple launched a program to replace defective headphones with new ones, but even this did not save the situation – the crackling noise continued to appear on the replaced devices.

The plaintiffs claim that the AirPods Pro would have been cheaper or would not have been purchased at all if they had been informed about this defect in advance. The company is also accused of false advertising that claims “superior sound quality” and “incredibly clear sound” because it knows about cod.

It is unknown what specific demands the plaintiffs are making against Apple.
