Users are reporting that they are seeing both pre-roll and mid-roll ads, as well as ads in the main stream.

One of these cases occurred in Germany, where Google is testing a “Premium Lite” plan that allows partial display of ads, but it is unclear whether the user is a Lite subscriber or a full Premium subscriber.

A Reddit user posted an email from the YouTube support team stating that “ads may occasionally appear through special partnerships or limited-time offers.”

In this case, it was an ad for the NFL Sunday Ticket package for YouTube TV.

YouTube representatives said paid subscribers should not see ads and should contact support if ads appear.
