New Year’s travel sales within the country may grow 40% to 50% year-on-year

The high demand contrasts with the indicators at the end of last year, when most Russians preferred to relax at home during the New Year holidays, Kommersant writes.

Tourist accommodation booking services noted a notable increase in hotel prices in Russia’s popular ski resorts in October. The average cost of one night in winter-spring 2024 increased by 15% year-on-year, up to 10.6 thousand rubles. The most popular destinations for ski lovers remain the Krasnodar Territory, the Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria regions, the Stavropol Territory, Kemerovo and Murmansk.
