British consumer group What? sued Apple.

The lawsuit alleges that the company makes it difficult to migrate to other cloud services by providing a “pro mode for iCloud” and “trapping” Apple device owners into using iCloud.

The plaintiffs demand that all cloud services work on iOS on equal terms.

They also want to make a difference in the £3 billion community. If you win, this money will be divided among 40 million iCloud users in the UK. Thus, each person will be able to receive approximately £70 (~8800 rubles).

Apple has denied the allegations and said nearly 50% of its customers don’t need or pay for an iCloud+ subscription.
