To increase security when confirming the arrival of an order, iFood launches a new delivery code system this weekIt will be implemented throughout Brazil. From the beginning the user will be able to create his own combination.
So far, the delivery app defaults to the last four digits of the customer’s phone as the security code. This “password” is requested by the delivery person before forwarding the order to the consumer to ensure that the person in question is actually responsible for the order.
But with the change the platform will offer the customer the opportunity to create a “unique and non-transferable delivery code”If you wish, you will be informed when you receive the product. According to the company, the new feature provides more control and security for everyone.
“We are committed to improving security and user experience, further reducing fraud, to have an increasingly better app for customers. Therefore, although it is optional, We strongly recommend that all platform users update their delivery codes.”, suggested Anna Vidal, iFood’s director of Consumer Experience.
How to create a new iFood delivery code?
To create a new security code for iFood deliveries, follow these steps:

- Enter the personalized code, which must consist of four numbers; they cannot be sequential, repetitive or the same as the numbers on your phone;
