Developer Rafael Rivera revealed these issues, saying that the app performs covert actions such as changing browser settings and snooping on cookies without the user’s consent. While Microsoft has denied that the app decrypts all cookies, it has acknowledged that it checks existing Bing installations to prevent duplicate offers.

The app is not new and is available on the Windows Store, but security experts recommend avoiding it due to this behavior.
