Unlike powered exoskeletons, the X-ble Shoulder is based on lightweight carbon composite construction and weighs only 1.9 kg. It generates assist force through a torque system that requires no batteries or charging. The device can withstand 700,000 folds per year and is easy to remove and clean.

It is available in two versions: the basic model with a force of 2.9 kgf and the adjustable model with a force of up to 3.7 kgf. Hyundai and Kia plan to introduce the device in their factories by mid-2025 and enter international markets by 2026.

The companies are also developing the X-ble Bel, designed to lift heavy objects, and the X-ble MEX, a medical exoskeleton for rehabilitation.
