Footage filmed in Texas has been leaked showing engineers and robots working on the top of Starship, including installing heat shield tiles and welding the nose cone.
Starship is assembled in stages: steel sheets are rolled into cylinders, which are then welded to form the main structure of the rocket.
Particular attention is paid to the nose cone, which is aerodynamically shaped for re-entry and equipped with new thermal protection elements to ensure reliable re-entry stages.
The process involves the use of robots that weld at different angles and manual work by technicians who inspect the tiles being laid.
SpaceX is also testing the 232-foot Super Heavy booster, checking fuel tanks and static engine fires before flight.
