According to the statement, MTS Urent intends to create, on the basis of Eleven, a center for the development of electric scooters, other types of shared transport and related technologies: software, batteries, charging infrastructure.
Eleven employees will continue to work at the merged company’s R&D center, which will become the base for the localization of electric scooter components in Russia. In 2025, the company plans to present an updated model of the scooter, noted in the press service.
“Acquiring the R&D expertise represented by Eleven will allow MTS Urent to not only purchase standard sharing devices from China, but also to independently develop equipment taking into account market realities and operational needs. This will increase the efficiency of our core business and strengthen our position on the stock market,” said the company’s CEO Ivan Touringe.
MTS Urent manages more than 150 thousand electric scooters in 180 cities in Russia and has been part of the MTS ecosystem since the beginning of 2024. In 2023, the revenue of Sharing Technologies LLC (the legal entity of the service) almost doubled compared to 2022, up to 5.1 billion rubles, and the net loss amounted to 7.6 million rubles.
Once was founded in 2019. The company offers electric scooter rental services and also develops scooters and other micromobility vehicles. Eleven operates in Skolkovo, Batumi, Minsk, Tbilisi and Almaty.
