Under the terms of the agreement, iFly transferred three wide-body Airbus A330-300 aircraft, along with flight and cabin crews, for use by Aeroflot.
“In the first stage of integration into the program, Aeroflot will use these aircraft on flights from Moscow to points in the Far East,” the press service reported in a statement.
The company highlights that economy class tickets for these flights are sold at fixed “flat” rates.
At the end of November, the Federal Air Transport Agency announced that Aeroflot would become the first Russian airline to test “wet leasing”, that is, renting an aircraft with a crew, in which the costs of maintenance, fuel, insurance and other services are the responsibility of the landlord.
Following the transfer of the aircraft, the number of Airbus A330 models in the airline’s fleet reached 15.
