Research shows that women can remember dreams slightly more than men. To remember dreams better, you need to wake up while there is still a trace of memory. Therefore, deep sleepers are less likely to remember their dreams than people who wake up regularly at night.
If you want to remember your dreams better, don’t rush through your day. Instead, wake up slowly and first think about whether you are dreaming and what you are dreaming about.
It may also be helpful to write down the details of your dreams in a sleep diary. In a study published in The Journal of Creative Behavior, people who specifically wrote down their dreams in a journal each day were able to recall more of their most vivid memories from the previous day than those who wrote down their most vivid memories.
