“Through this partnership, some of the world’s most influential people will have access to early technology to identify and manage AI-generated content containing their images, including their faces,” he said.

It notes that as part of the collaboration, test participants will provide feedback to YouTube that will help create deepfake detection systems and improve its management tools.

The experiment will begin in early 2025. In the process, celebrities, including actors and famous athletes from the NBA and NFL, will use a special tool to find AI content on YouTube and submit requests to remove deepfakes.

The message says that the upcoming tests will be the first step in a large-scale experiment. Over the coming months, the video hosting company will announce new groups of participants, including top YouTube creators, creative professionals, and “other leading partners.”

The collaboration with CAA was part of YouTube’s plan to create tools to protect content creators from the influence of AI. The platform’s management first announced the creation of such services in early September.
