The Association of Retail Companies (AKORT) proposed to legislatively regulate the relationship of marketplaces with sellers and owners of order pick-up points. A corresponding appeal was sent to the Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov.

AKORT proposes to use the concept of a platform economy “large digital platform”, under which platforms will be located that occupy more than 20% of the total turnover among all services. This should control the process of expanding marketplaces.

In addition, the association believes that the adapter is obliged to disclose search algorithms in order to “create the same conditions for everyone.” Fines for sellers and owners of the order pick-up point Please note that in case of limited capacity within 24 hours, they will be completely cancelled.

AKORT also notes that offline stores are subject to many restrictions that do not create obstacles for marketplaces, which creates significant competitive advantages for each.

AKORT includes Group X5, Magnit, Lenta, Dixie, Auchan and Metro.

Wildberry believes that AKORT’s proposals largely do not meet not only the needs of the market, but also the interests of the platform’s partners. Digital Platform Associations (DAAs) have called the proposed proposals unnecessary. [Коммерсантъ]
