“Moskvich 3 is a manually controlled car. “Instead of traditional pedals, it is controlled by special devices, without the use of feet,” the department said in a statement.
The cars for people with disabilities have already been certified and will enter mass production in the first quarter of 2025. All manual vehicles will come with a manufacturer’s warranty.
The Moskvich plant previously belonged to French carmaker Renault, but in May 2022 its Russian assets became state property. In June of the same year, the former Renault plant was renamed Moskvich.
Currently, the company produces three car models: the Moskvich 3 crossover, the electric Moskvich 3e and the Moskvich 6 sedan. The cost of the cars starts at 1.7 million rubles. In early 2025, Moskvich should launch the Moskvich 8 crossover.
