“Routes can be built between objects within a building, as well as from anywhere in the city: for example, Maps will build a bus route to a shopping center, then suggest a convenient entrance and how to get to a specific store. Like conventional navigation, Maps can offer multiple route options,” the company explained.

To build a route, users in shopping centers must indicate which floor they are on, specify the location, and then specify the end point. In order for the application to suggest the way to the airport gate, you need to find it on the map and click “Here”.

In the near future, Yandex Maps will be able to create routes in other buildings, except in shopping centers, airports and train stations. The list of cities where the feature operates will also be updated.

The plans of shopping centers were added to Yandex Maps in August 2019. Thanks to this, information about the location of shops, cafes, cinemas, beauty salons and other objects became available to users.
