Huawei announced on Thursday (9) its new wireless headset HUAWEI FreeBuds 5i, It will go on sale in Brazil on March 20promises “state-of-the-art technology and top-notch acoustic engineering at a price comparable to entry-level headphones.” Recommended retail price is BRL 499 at official brand dealers: Magazine Luiza, KaBuM and ZOOMstore.

At least 33% cheaper than the previous model, The new earphone is True Wireless Stereo (TWS) and has High Definition high definition audio format. The product still features three different active noise canceling modes (ANC), a new leaner design, 28 hours of battery life (with the box), and two simultaneous device connections with different operating systems.

The charging case of the new phone, which has a minimalist and elegant appearance, is more compact than the previous model, has a pebble appearance and a textured surface with inkjet coating. The three color options are Island Blue (blue), Nebula Black (black), and Ceramic White (white).

Design and sound quality

The FreeBuds 5i model has gone through some tweaks to make it more adaptable to each listener’s ear canal. To this end, the new headset is 7mm shorter than the previous version, resulting in a more comfortable fit. The result is a device that is 29mm high and weighs just 5g.

In terms of music experience, Huawei’s new headset offers powerful hardware combining intelligent algorithms and Sony-developed LDAC HD2 audio codec, in addition to the Hi-Res experience. Audio streaming up to 96 kHz/32 bit resolutionwhich is twice as common as physical media such as CDs.
