The device promises “immersive entertainment” while heating food. The display can also sync with the LG oven and show the cooking progress, so the user does not need to bend over and manually check the food.
This model became part of the company’s new strategy, which aims to transform home appliances into multifunctional platforms.
LG has previously added OLED screens to refrigerators and small screens to washing machines and dryers. All devices are integrated into the LG smart home ecosystem and provide access to entertainment functions.
The announcement follows initiatives by Samsung, which is also actively equipping home appliances with screens up to 32 inches.
LG has not yet announced the cost of the new products and the start date of their sales, but more details will be promised at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.
