If users agree and do not close the window, Edge will import tabs from Chrome and sync them as long as Chrome remains the default browser. Although Microsoft claims that this notification is optional, many see it as another example of the company’s aggressive tactics to promote Edge.
Microsoft has previously come under fire for using similar practices, such as blocking the EdgeDeflector tool, making it harder to change your default browser, and adding fake AI responses to Bing search results for Chrome.
