The experiment’s test bench included a GTX 680, a fan, and a Ginzzu case (side walls closed). During testing, thermal paste was applied to the video card chip, and the temperatures of this chip were then evaluated in the benchmark.

GD900 thermal paste had standard temperatures: 76 degrees. So the result is pretty typical, nothing interesting or unusual.

SMP Paste turned out to be quite liquid. Its declared thermal conductivity is high (10) and keeps the temperature around 74 degrees.

Steel STP-2 showed the same result as GD900. So it’s a steady 76 degrees.

You can see the test results in the images above.

It turned out that in the open case the situation was somewhat different. The temperature for steel was 64-65 degrees, for SMP Paste it was 62 degrees, and for GD900 it was 62 degrees.

SMP Paste was indeed 2 notches better than the others. True, all three options cost pennies.
