Benchmark results published on Geekbench suggest that the Galaxy S25 phones should be equipped with an improved version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. Samsung should continue its tradition Launch the top of the range with a chipset specifically tuned for them.
The figures were published in Geekbench Browser on December 31, 2024 and Show results for the Samsung SM-S931B model (so-called Galaxy S25 Ultra) I’m running Geekbench 6.3.0. The score reached 2986 in single-core and 9355 in multi-core.
on your own, the numbers are not that impressive – and it’s even lower than what other models like the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro offer. However, the chip frequency appears to be higher on the two cores, going up to 4.47GHz from the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite’s 4.32GHz.
This frequency shift suggests that there will be another “for Galaxy” version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite in Samsung’s next top model.
Why was the comparison result bad?
Since the Galaxy S25 has not yet been released, the tests published on Geekbench run on a device that is not yet available and runs One UI 7, a preliminary version of the operating system. Therefore, expected set not set as it should be.

Also, the test seems to show that: Figures from Galaxy S25 Ultra with 12 GB RAMIt’s not the 16GB version.
Once the final version of One UI 7 is available and running, benchmarks are likely to produce better results.
Fortunately, The uncertainty surrounding the Galaxy S25 shouldn’t last long: The launch event of the best-in-class Galaxy Unpacked will take place at the end of January.
