Starting April 25, the company will provide more than 10 million megawatt hours of energy to 80 federal facilities in the PJM Interconnection region. This electricity will be used by units such as the Ministry of Transport and Defense. The aim of the agreement is to provide electricity to more than 1 million homes annually.
$840 million of the agreement is for nuclear energy, and $172 million is for expenses such as building insulation and lighting. Some federal buildings in Washington, D.C., will switch to electric boilers and heat pumps.
