After the complaints about Assassin’s Creed: Origins, mass complaints about Path of Exile 2 not working properly emerged.

Players are reporting 100% CPU load when launching Path of Exile 2, resulting in system freezes, audio lag, and forced process termination or computer restarts.

Some users noted that even using utilities like Ryzen Master to manage processor cores did not fix the problem.

One of the players described the situation as follows: “All processor cores are loaded at 100%, the sound is played but the cursor moves jerkily. This appears to be a DirectX 12 issue.”

Limiting the number of active processor cores may be a temporary solution, but it does not completely solve the problem.

Microsoft has added an “Under Investigation” label to the Feedback Hub, indicating that it is investigating the situation.

The workaround for now is to revert to Windows 11 23H2 or Windows 10.
