Nvidia announced the RTX 50 Blackwell graphics cards during CES 2025.

In total, the line includes four video cards: RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080 and RTX 5090. Each of them is up to 2 times more powerful than the generation. The company notes that this was achieved thanks to multi-frame generation technology from DLSS 4.

GeForce RTX 5090 Specifications

CUDA kernels: 21,760
Memory capacity: 32 GB GDDR7 (1792 GB/s)
Seat depth: 512 bit
Energy consumption: 575 W

Characteristics of GeForce RTX 5080

CUDA kernels: 10,752

All video cards use PCIe 5.0, GDDR7 memory and DisplayPort 2.1a, the power supply is 16-pin. New DLSS Multi Frame Generation technology gradually increases up to three additional frames for each frame rendered, which can increase gaming performance by up to 8 times.

Affordable exclusivity is new to the RTX 50-series, but improved DLSS 4 is also coming to all older RTX models. In the release, multi-frame generation technology will be supported in 75 games and applications.

In games, the difference is as follows: Cyberpunk 2077 with RTX 4090 and DLSS 3.5 – 106 FPS, Cyberpunk 2077 with RTX 5090 and DLSS 4 – 238 FPS.

Prices

• RTX 5070: $549.
• RTX 5070 Ti: $749.
• RTX 5080: $999.
• RTX 5090: $1,999.

The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 will be available on January 30th. The RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti video cards will be released in February. [The Verge]
